How We Started
The company was founded by a Sri Lankan tourism professional with over 15 years on the road — driving guests across the island, planning itineraries that actually work in real traffic, and building a quiet network of trusted hotels, safari trackers and boat captains. SW Ceylon Tours grew out of one simple frustration: travelers kept paying foreign agencies premium prices for tours that any good local operator could run better, cheaper and with more honesty.

Our Vehicles & Safety Standards
We operate a fleet of modern Toyota and Nissan sedans, KDH high-roof vans and 14-seater Coaster mini-buses — all under 6 years old, fully insured, GPS-tracked and air-conditioned. Every vehicle is inspected before the tour, fitted with seatbelts on every seat, and carries a first-aid kit, bottled water and phone chargers as standard.
Our chauffeur-guides hold valid Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) licenses, drive defensively, and never push for commission stops. If you don't want to visit a spice garden or gem shop, just say so — it's your holiday.
Languages We Speak
Our team handles bookings and tours in English, Sinhala and Tamil. Several of our drivers also speak working German, Frenchand Russian — let us know your preferred language when you inquire and we'll match you with the right guide.
